Valley View at Night, a Spectacular Sight

Last night the hills behind Valley View were ablaze. This picture was taken at about 11:00 pm across the corner from Valley View. This was supposed to be the first official day of the school year but as you can see that did not happen. All of the fires in the background are actually control fires set by fire fighters. Check out this video for my first hand account of the evening:

Wow, this is a great shot. Good job documenting our fire for your class. I was just finishing my own blog when I read your email. I posted some stuff too! Of course I never thought of going up to VV when it was under evacuation orders...

o my goodness mr laing as u know i live in arcadia and whew! glad it wasnt near us well not really iwas worried about the school.... thank goodness it went away! the fire looked pretty close... :)

i was watching the fire all night that night.i kept on saying that we HAVE to evacuate to my dad.he made it worse by letting my cats outside!(D-=)i was crying that night because i kept on hearing the phone ring and thought it was the MANDITORY evacuation drill.also i wathched the news that night and i said THE NEWS SAID LA CRESENTA WE'RE FAMOUS and did a stupid pose...BTW hi esther
